FIRST SPEAKER

Image
ATMOSPHERE FOR PERFORMANCE  The atmosphere of the poem is one of caution, reflection, criticism, morality, and spiritual significance. The poem creates a sense of concern as it examines how gossip and uncontrolled speech gradually destroy relationships, families, communities, and even the spiritual life of the individual involved. FIRST SPEAKER He thinks more of another than himself. He's just concerned about every conversation. He was too small when he was supposed to shut up. He grew beyond advice- A true Auguste Comte. I knew he was going to be a gossiper Because he had no business. A playboy, a leisure fellow, Well-bred in an aristocratic pot Bore by the impaler (Vlad) Born by the very Queen of Sheba, The true imperial majesty. Close was he to deeds Than even the closest. He goes first To plant seeds of confusion. He merges the concern with the unconcern, The innocent to the guilty, The true to the untrue, The children to the parents, The parents to total strangers, The...

MILES AWAY FROM LIFE

Image
ATMOSPHERE The atmosphere is reflective, philosophical, emotionally disturbing, luxurious, cautionary, and morally contemplative. The poem creates awareness about the emptiness hidden beneath worldly pleasures and social pride. MILES AWAY FROM LIFE Mother once said -  "If they are all beautiful, then you are in trouble,  You will never be a husband".  Solomon had them all  And later testify how inferior they were.  Remember Don Juan?  The Pro. Seducer? He had them at will. Noah was a bee  He drank the best of wine, the spirits.  He could tell the brand by it smell-  Yellow tail,  Casillero del Diablo,  Gallo family Vineyard,  He felt the true taste before they were born. Well, I've tasted Bugatti La Voiture Noire.  It's life outside the planet.  Life in Mercedes- Maybach 5650 Is stooling in the moon.  Story for the black!  The young man breath his last in the Amerigo Vespucci  Luxury life wasted...

THE BEST OF DEATH

Image
ATMOSPHERE The atmosphere is dark, spiritually tense, emotional, and apocalyptic. The poem evokes a profound awareness of judgment, suffering, mortality, and spiritual accountability.   THE BEST OF DEATH Tell me of sorrowful days  When man needs the warm hands of death  And all death would do is laugh and laugh For the one who spat years back needs its blessings.  I can behold death shut the mouth of Mother Earth  And then old age intoxicates the living.  The sound of the grinder too good to hear,  The sound of the clock ticks louder at Revelation than in Genesis.  "We need you, we need you, we need you", Death mimics like a dumb will. Now is the time when death wrestles with man,  There comes a time when man would wrestle with death, but to no avail  For death and Hades have a misunderstanding  And then Earth (the referee) is an impotent,  The supreme father has seized its power.  Death has its best  But not t...

GRAVE, THE WEALTHIEST MAN

Image
ATMOSPHERE The atmosphere is luxurious, reflective, philosophical, emotional, and spiritually sobering. The poem fosters a profound awareness of human mortality, despite wealth and worldly success. GRAVE, THE WEALTHIEST MAN My love, Pitch your Antilia in Banwa Private Island  And sleep in the First World Hotel.  Wake with music symphony  And slowly you go out of Symphony of the Seas,  Tipping toe into your Koenigsegg CCRR Trevita.  Ensure your health with the Royal Adelaide Hospital.  And your gift? The Malaysian 14-karat gold coffin.  Westwood Village Park Memorial is all they could offer.  All luxury life is gone, And all your wealth is the grave's-The wealthiest of all mortals. “All luxury life is gone And all your wealth is the grave's” AUTHOR’S NOTE Grave, The Wealthiest Man was inspired by deep reflection on luxury, wealth, mortality, and the temporary nature of human existence. Through references to some of the world’s most expensive...

THE NECROMANCER

Image
ATMOSPHERE The atmosphere is dark, spiritually intense, mysterious, reflective, and cautionary. The poem creates a haunting emotional environment filled with fear, deception, hidden evil, and the inevitability of death. THE NECROMANCER The priest who pastors a parish  Is the same, a Necromancer necromancing in Necropolis.  Let your eyes feed on his eyes  And you shall behold at right, the Holy Bible, And on the left, Seven Book of Moses.  He gallops on the altar in the day,  And boogie at night in the coven.  Invite misunderstanding  And he will be good to call the ghost of his ancestors.  Let him lose a son  And the coffin will be filled with weapons of canal war- The bomb, the matchet, the axe, and even the hammer.  If miracles disobey him  Then he will be good to cast souls into a pillar.  Tell him you need a child, and you both will copulate.  Ask me about his wife  And I will tell you she's delicious.  You w...

TIME OF RIDDLE

Image
ATMOSPHERE The atmosphere is reflective, philosophical, spiritual, and emotionally thoughtful. The poem creates a deep sense of self-examination and personal awakening. TIME OF RIDDLE In the absence of a problem  There is a problem. The problem is not about being born  But to whom you were born? The problem is not necessarily about who you were born to  But who nursed you? The problem is not about who nursed you  But what order does she belong to? The problem is not about the order she belongs to  But what you were dedicated to. The problem is not what you were dedicated to  But what you did when you grew to know who you are. The problem is not about growing to know who you are  But the step taken toward correcting the mistake The problem is not about correcting the mistake  But knowing who you now serve. The problem is not about knowing who you serve  But knowing your final destination. Eternal life or eternal condemnation  It ma...

Busy Soul

Image
BUSY SOUL Like I would say We've got ways to pay We see it not a delay Monday Tuesday Wednesday Name the days It goes again this way Suffering comes in phases It could be as though you are busy Working Schooling Killing self and burning candle Like reading over probation Like escaping mortuary To the sanctuary praising God I know of a priest who is busy He is never dizzy anyway Neither is he moody He is just friendly Too silent sometimes like an Egyptian Mummy But not lazy anyway I understand his way He wants to be Holy Yea I really give them my love They pray everyday, times without number Fast like I will do in the absence of food Supplicate like job Interceding as if he fathered them all Eyes still fixed on his job Not to be haunted by the watchdog I know of a politician who is very busy He has a lot of money But still not okay He haunts with many Sleeps with Penny Make merry With Mary Which we know he won't marry Like my friend would say- "I am a political Messiah Who ...
