Correction for growth

“If you've not seen anything wrong with your yesterday then you aren't growing, and I must congratulate you for giving ego such a big name. But I have to say this: that man(ego) is planning to sift you like wheat”


A man's growth should be such that: when he looks at yesterday, he sees those things he did not do well and improve upon them. That's why we need and have innovation.

It should also be noted that: Growth doesn’t happen by chance; it is a deliberate act that begins when a man decides to face his flaws with courage and honesty. Correction is not punishment, it is direction. Every time you pause to evaluate your actions, choices, and results, you position yourself for improvement.

Our characters, social life, moral upbringing, even in our thoughts, they should be linked to this principle without which we will be doing same thing and expecting a different result.

Those who resist correction often mistake pride for strength. But in truth, the refusal to be corrected is the first sign of weakness. The wise are not those who never err, but those who learn from their errors and refuse to repeat them. That is how progress is born.

Innovation itself is built on correction. A correction of what existed before(that is, capitalizing on the already existed product). The world moves forward because men and women dare to say, “We can do better.” In life, character, and business, correction should be your closest companion.

This-is-how-they-use-to-do-it or This-is-how-I-use-to-do-it is primitive, archaic. A person affected by this self made dogma has a brain aboriginally designed to reject the true future, you are designed for isolation. 

Paraphrasing his statement- Ryan Holiday said: men of principle rarely go without having to compromise their principle(s).

Sometimes it doesn't mean that these principles are bottle-necked, it's just that the custodians of these principles doesn't want anyone to interfere with their individual stands, and so the door to their hearts is closed against corrections. 

Such a person sees nothing wrong with his yesterday, today, and may not see anything wrong with his future tomorrow.

Next to him is Ego( the crown prince of destruction).

Is your business making progress? There's something you've done right. Is it(your business) down already? There's something you've done wrong. There's room for correction/improvement if only self will let you.

Think again about where you didn't do well and sit up. Scan all areas of your life, correct all wrongs, and be good for God's sake!

If your yesterday doesn’t challenge your today, your tomorrow will remain a repetition of the same mistakes. Correction sharpens your vision, humbles your ego, and rebuilds your destiny. Accept it. Work with it. Grow with it.

Because without correction, there can be no true growth. Only motion without progress, speed without direction.

BOOTIES OF WAR Away a step from the scene Where a baby mourned her mum who lived no more It's painful, for us who wept, found no comforter. And those who did, took not his advice.  " If I had to give young writers advice, I'd say don't listen to writers talking about writing" - Lilian Hellman Addressing young writers, Lilian Hellman aired her opinion in what seems to be a young writers' want-to-hear statement (i.e., what should I do as a young writer who wants to succeed in my writing career?). Well, she did justice. Hellmann's piece of advice doesn't apply to writing; it could be applied to all facets of human endeavor/profession.
