Disobedience.

It is with great Joy that we have been saddled with the grace to address you this day, having been silent for a very long time due to some factors beyond our power.
We say: compliments of the season to everyone, God bless you!

We will be taking a few minutes to look at the word "Disobedience". My Dictionary put it so plain as " refusing or failing to obey". But I wish to define it as "doing something you are not supposed to do, be it at the right or wrong time."

I remember back then when I used to steal from mum's pot. The perfect time to do the operation was when no one was in the house, but does a successful operation denote or make right the simple instruction: no one should open the pot? No!

We have so much abhor disobedience in church to the extent that disobedience no longer has its own colour, it looks exactly like obedience ( so beautiful, so plain, so concise). The concept of disobedience no longer rings a bell in people's ears because the tool for measuring it is the success of the dead works so involved. Because it was successful doesn't charge from being wrong to being right.

ARE YOU AN INSTRUMENTALIST?
Do you stop the beat when you are asked to, or do you keep playing because the people are still dancing and cheering? If there are some sects of people that should really take this message seriously, then it should be the instrumentalists. These people wear a crown of pride. 
If you give them an instruction, they rarely follow it, if you correct them too much, they stay back. That's to say: let me see who will play that piano for them since they know how to talk!
An African Proverb says that, "The dog that wants to get lost does not listen to the whistle of its owner". Are you an instrumentalist? Talk to yourself, you are about to get lost. 

ARE YOU A MINISTER?
Are you a preacher in this group? Of course we are... Do you stop when the holy spirit asks you to stop, or do you still ride on because the people are echoing- ride on, Sir? My brother, you are riding to hell, you are riding on a flat tyre, and you know that's dangerous. Wait! Watch your back, or else they will kill you with motivation.

Now listen to what God is saying: because what you are about to do is right does not give you the ground to lay its foundation on disobedience.
A while ago I attended a youth program, for which I was fortunate to be the moderator. At a certain point in time, an instruction was given beforehand that those with testimony should send their names to the moderator. If I could remember vividly, only 3 people adhered to the instruction. When the time for testimony drew nigh, people walked up to me, "Sir, I have a testimony", guess what? I told them plain,  "You are not testifying, not again tonight".  I tell you, the whole hell broke loose. 

Now bring back your minds,  let's reason like a Minister whom God in His mercy has put in place to bear the burden of the kingdom. The issue is- some of them do not think it's necessary to give their names to the moderator,  while some are still contemplating whether or not to testify, and they just have to weigh it in the balance. 
E. L. Teddy said in one of his works (The Collection), "If your wish-to-do is subjected to debate, wait, and look for the perfect speaker". 

Listen,  if you are uncertain about a testimony you are about to give, please put it aside, you are about to lie, you are about to entertain the church, and you will never receive any blessing. Even my kids in the Children's Ministry cannot try that nonsense. 

ARE YOU A PROPHET /PROPHETESS? 
Have you become so famous that you begin to coin your own words, you speak when the Lord has not spoken? Even a sorcerer can do that! 
Now, if you are reading this message and you fall among this sect of God's agents,  be very, very, very careful because fame is about to deny you Christ if you should dance to its tune. If God is moody over disobedience, it simply means it is a SIN. And there is only one good thing you can, and should do to SIN, "Repent". 

Remember this- the problem with well-connected men of God is that SIN that looks like holiness. Therefore,  always spot them out and trash them, they aren't useful.

 " If I had to give young writers advice, I'd say don't listen to writers talking about writing" - Lilian Hellman Addressing young writers, Lilian Hellman aired her opinion in what seems to be a young writers' want-to-hear statement (i.e., what should I do as a young writer who wants to succeed in my writing career?). Well, she did justice. Hellmann's piece of advice doesn't apply to writing; it could be applied to all facets of human endeavor/profession.
